Presnt is an app for keeping track of the people you love — their birthdays, anniversaries, and other special occasions — and getting a hand with gift ideas, message suggestions, and moment ideas. This page explains what information the app handles and how.
Everything you enter into Presnt — names, relationships, personal notes, event dates, and your own display name — is stored locally on your device only. Presnt does not require an account or sign-in, and does not collect your email address, phone number, or any other identifying information about you.
Our backend servers do not maintain a database of your people, notes, or events. If you uninstall the app or reset your device, that locally stored data is gone — there is nothing held on our servers to separately delete.
When you ask Presnt for gift ideas, message suggestions, or moment ideas, the relevant details you've entered for that person — their name, relationship to you, your notes about them, the occasion type, and (for birthdays) an approximate age — are sent to our backend, which forwards them to Anthropic's Claude API to generate a response. This happens only when you actively request a suggestion.
Our backend does not log, store, or retain this information after the response is sent back to your device. Anthropic processes this data to generate the response under its own API terms; we do not control how Anthropic's infrastructure handles that request beyond generating the response.
Tapping a gift suggestion's Amazon or Google Shopping link opens that site in your browser or the relevant app. Those are third-party services with their own privacy policies, outside Presnt's control. Presnt participates in the Amazon Associates program and may earn a commission on qualifying purchases made through these links — this does not cost you anything extra.
Presnt includes a free monthly allowance for AI-generated suggestions. If you want more, you can buy a one-time credit pack, or redeem a free code, from within the app.
Purchases are handled entirely by Apple's App Store and processed on our behalf by RevenueCat, a third-party purchase infrastructure provider. Presnt does not collect, see, or store your payment details (card number, billing address, etc.) — that information stays with Apple. RevenueCat receives your purchase transaction data (which credit pack you bought, when, and for how much) in order to validate the purchase and prevent fraud, along with an anonymous, device-generated identifier. Because Presnt has no account or sign-in system, this identifier cannot be linked back to your name, email, or any other personal information.
Redeem codes are checked locally on your device and are not sent to our servers.
Credit packs are non-refundable consumables per Apple's standard terms, and — because Presnt has no account system — purchased credits cannot be restored if you reinstall the app or switch devices.
Presnt schedules reminder notifications (birthdays, anniversaries, "time to reconnect" nudges) locally on your device using your device's own notification system. No push notification token, device identifier, or notification content is sent to or stored by our servers.
Presnt reads your device's region setting to show gift prices and budget suggestions in your local currency. This is read directly from your device settings and is not transmitted to or stored by our servers.
Presnt is not directed at children and is not intended for use by anyone under 13.
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
